We all may have come across the term called solar eclipse while browsing or in your studies. 

Let us try to know more about solar eclipse. 

Solar eclipse is the natural phenomenon occur in between the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. It is a natural activity in which the Moon block the sunlight directing towards the Earth and in which the Earth become dark in the day time. The solar eclipse can be of fully blocking the sunlight or partially. So, in simple words blocking of the Sun light directing towards the Earth by the Moon is called solar eclipse. 

When the Sun, the Moon and the Earth comes in a straight line facing all the three to each other. A straight pattern is developed in between them. Firstly the Sun and in between the Moon and at the end the Earth. 

Moon is the main cause of solar eclipse, because it comes in between the Sun and the Earth. Blocking the sun rays completely or partially coming towards the Earth. So, this is how it occur. 

When the Moon new phase, new phase means here the full Moon day arrive directly toward the Sun and the Earth in which it's shadow cast in the Earth.

Through news sources, the information has arrived that on the longest day of the year that is 21 of June 2020,the first solar eclipse will be occuring. And it will be the annual solar eclipse. 

The timing for the solar eclipse is starting from 9:15 AM and continues till 3:04 PM according to Indian Time Standard (IST). At 12:10 PM the maximum of solar eclipse will occur. The solar eclipse will be much visible from Asia, Africa, the Indian Ocean, and some part of Europe and Australia. 

On December 14 the second solar eclipse will occur in which the Moon will hide the sun completely. 

As the solar eclipse occur rarely we all are excited to view it, but there are some guidelines to be followed. 

Viewing the solar eclipse directly is dangerous to our eyes. So, please do not look directly at the Sun without eye protection, use of glass or binoculars is appreciate to view it.
