Do you know yoga was developed in India.

5,000 years ago Yoga was developed by the Indus - Saraswati civilization in northern India.


The early practicing of yoga was developed by the Indus - Saraswati civilization in Northern India over 5,000 years ago.

In oldest sacred texts,Rig Vedas yoga was first mentioned.


The Vedas were collection of texts containing songs,mantras,and rituals to be used by Brahmans,(The Vedic priests).

 1).Who introduced Yoga: The Indian saga,Swami Vivekananda,introduced yoga into the west of India.

2) Father of Yoga: The collection of all aspect of Yoga into a certain format known as the yoga Sutras. This is a collection of 196 verses or Sutras on Yoga .And so Patanjali is known as the father of modern yoga.




Yoga: The main context of Yoga, is for,the spiritual development practices to train the body and mind to self observe and become aware of their own nature.
It cultivate discrimination,awareness,self - regulation and higher consciousness in the individual.


12 Surya Namaskar steps.

Surya Namaskar is the first Yoga to be practiced every morning along with the Sun rise,it is  the form of salutation to the Sun.
 
1)Prayer pose-Pranamasana.


2)Raised arm pose - Hastauttanasana.
3) Hand to foot pose-Hasta padasana.





4)Equestrian pose - Ashwa Sanchalanasana.


 


5)Stick pose - Dandasana                                                                                                                                          

6)Salute with eight parts or points - Ashtanga Namaskara.                                                                                        
7)Cobra pose ;Bhujangasana.                                                                                                                        

8)Mountain pose - Parvatasana.                                                                                                                     

9).Equestrian pose - Ashwa Sanchalanasana.                                                                                                                                                      
 

10)Hand to foot pose - Hasta Padasana.                                                                                                             

11)Raised arms pose- Hastauttanasana.                                                                                                          



12)Standing mountain pose - Tadasana.
