1) Murudeshwar Temple.  Murudeshwar Temple is one of such temples which look quite contemporary thought it belong to the ancient era. 

The temple is dedicated to worship Lord Murudeshwar, who is considered to be one of the form of Lord shiva. 

The temple is surrounded by Arabian sea from three sides and the temple premises begin with the twenty storied Gopuram.

#Situated in: It is situated in India in the state of Karnataka.

1) opens at 6 am and closes at 8:30 pm. 
2) Lunch timing: 1 pm-3 pm. 
3) Morning puja:6:30 am-7:30 am. 
4) Afternoon Mahapuja: 12:15 pm-1 pm. 
5) Night puja: 7:15 pm- 8:15 pm. 

#Festivals celebrated at the temple. 
Maha shivaratri(February-March) and Kartik Purnima (November-December) is celebrated in the temple with full favour and enthusiasm. 

# How to reach:
1) By road- 165 km from Mangalore and 455 km from Bangalore. 

2) Nearest railway station: Murudeshwar station is only 2 km away from the temple. 

3) By air: The nearest airport from the temple is Mangalore international airport which is situated at a distance of about 165 km from the temple. 


2) Shiv statue: Murudeshwar temple is also famous for the second tallest statue of shiva which took over 2 years to build in an amount of 50 million rupee approximately. 

#Height of Statue:123 feet tall, took over 2 years to built.
 
#Who built it : The statue was built  by Shivamogga's kashinath and several other sculpture. 

#cost of statue to build: It cost over 50 million approximately.
